The Nolensville Knights (Nolensville, TN) volleyball knocked off the visiting Siegel Stars (Murfreesboro, TN), 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league match.
Next up, the Knights battle the Father Ryan Irish (Nashville, TN) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, August 20. Nolensville will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Irish enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Franklin Road Academy (Nashville, TN).
The Stars (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Page (Franklin, TN). The Patriots go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Page dropped by Independence (Thompson's Station, TN), 3-0, in a league battle.
Match Summary
Opening the season with the 2024 state champions, the Nolensville Knights, Seigel proved they were a force to be reckoned with. Defensive player of the year, senior libero Camryn Faulk, was impressive defensively, in serve receive, and from the service line, making it difficult for Nolensville to get the Stars out of system. Offensively, Coach Flowers was proud of her team for executing a variety of shots, but knows there is still work to be done, as we continue to work on establishing our middles. Coach Flo stated, "We have size and our blocking is coming along nicely; we are working on building trust and having confidence in all positions to increase success." Lefty opposite Mia Mcgrath led the team with nine kills, with senior outside hitters Katie Ricks and Kenzie Fields having outstanding offensive showings as well. Junior setter Camryn Keckler served well, contributing 17 service points and 9 assists.
