With the triumph, Madison Central advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Indians host Lafayette (Lexington, KY) to clash with the Generals in a non-league test on Thursday, August 7. The Generals come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Bears now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Male for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 12. Butler will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Marion County (Lebanon, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
