In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers soccer squad scored a close 3-1 triumph over the Pike Central Chargers.
The Briar Jumpers (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Casey County (Liberty, KY). The Rebels come into the District 47 battle with a 1-1 record.
The Chargers (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IN). The Wildcats come into the Pocket battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Mt. Vernon nudged Forest Park (Ferdinand, IN), 2-1, in a league battle.
