Woodland Wildcats (Cartersville, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cambridge Bears (Milton, GA), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buford for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 20. Woodland will face a Wolves squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA). The Wolves record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Cambridge falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to North Springs (Atlanta, GA) to face the Spartans in a 5A Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, August 23. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. North Springs lost 8-0 in their recent league challenge against Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA)
