Nebraska High School Softball - Falls City can't hold off Polk County

The Polk County Slammers softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Falls City Tigers to 9 in the Slammers non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Polk County improves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Slammers travel to Central City (Central City, NE) to clash with the Bison in a C District 7 game on Tuesday, August 23. The Bison come into the game with a record of 1-0. Central City won 12-0 in their recent non-league game against Boone Central/Newman Grove (Albion, NE)
In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines (Wilber, NE) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, August 23. Falls City will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Wolverines come into the game with a 2-3 record after their 11-10 non-league win over Cass (Louisville, NE).
