In Saturday's league contest, the Lincoln East Spartans (Lincoln, NE) softball team held off the visiting Millard South Patriots (Omaha, NE), by a margin of 7-6.
With the triumph, Lincoln East moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Spartans host Lincoln Southeast (Lincoln, NE) to play the Knights in a A District contest on Tuesday, August 23. The Knights come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Lincoln Southeast won 14-2 in their recent league contest against Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE)
Next, the Patriots face the Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE) in a non-league match, on Monday, August 22. Millard South will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record.
