The Pierce County Bears routed the host Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets softball squad by a count of 10-4 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Bears (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against East Laurens (East Dublin, GA). The Falcons go into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, East Laurens nudged Jefferson County (Louisville, GA), 12-6, in a league battle.

The Yellow Jackets now sport a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Northside for a 6A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, August 23. Thomas County Central will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Perry (Perry, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.
