The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Whitney Wildcats (Whitney, TX) and the host Carter-Riverside Eagles (Fort Worth, TX), saw Whitney's volleyball squad beat Carter-Riverside by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Whitney upgrades its record to 3-12 on the year. The Wildcats host Crawford (Crawford, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 23. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 3-4.
The Eagles now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Western Hills for a 4A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, August 23. Carter-Riverside will play a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Centennial (Burleson, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 0-11.
