The Del Valle Cardinals held off the visiting Giddings Buffaloes volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cardinals now have a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rudder for a non-league test on Saturday, August 20. Del Valle will confront a Rangers team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to McNeil (Austin, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 14-4.

The Buffaloes (10-11) will now prepare for their test against London (Corpus Christi, TX). The Pirates enter the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, London was nudged by Harlan (San Antonio, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
