In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting Layton Lancers soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 win over the Pleasant Grove Vikings.
The Lancers (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Westlake (Saratoga Springs, UT). The Thunder enter the non-league outing with a 1-4 record. In their last outing, Westlake was edged by Orem (Orem, UT), 3-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Vikings confront the Skyridge Falcons (Lehi, UT) in a 6A Region 3 outing, on Tuesday, August 27. Pleasant Grove will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Falcons enter the outing with a 3-3 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Snow Canyon (St. George, UT).
