In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Nantahala Hawks volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Shining Rock Classical Academy Falcons.
The Hawks (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Andrews beat Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Falcons meet the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 22. Shining Rock Classical Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Maroon Devils come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC).
