Texas High School Volleyball - Vela over San Benito

The Vela Sabercats volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting San Benito Greyhounds to 0 in the Sabercats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sabercats now have a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Jourdanton for a non-league outing on Friday, August 23. Vela will play a Indians/Squaws team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Stockdale (Stockdale, TX). The Indians/Squaws record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, San Benito drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX) to play the Wolves in a non-league outing on Thursday, August 22. The Wolves come into the outing with a record of 8-0. Laredo LBJ won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Nixon (Laredo, TX)
