In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes soccer squad scored a tight 4-0 win over the Greenfield Knights.
The Hurricanes (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, Topsail by Garinger (Charlotte, NC), 1-0, in a non-league test.
The Knights now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Wilmington Christian Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 26. Greenfield will confront a Patriots squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-1.
