In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Garden City Cougars soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Churchill Chargers.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Clarenceville (Livonia, MI). The Trojans enter the non-league outing with a 0-1 record.
Next up, the Chargers clash with the Glenn Rockets (Westland, MI) in a Kensington Lakes - East test, on Thursday, August 21. Churchill will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Rockets come into the test with a 0-2 record after their 8-0 league loss to Fordson (Dearborn, MI).
