Spectators at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Washington County Golden Hawks (Sandersville, GA) and the visiting Cross Creek Razorbacks (Augusta, GA), saw Washington County's softball squad nip Cross Creek by a score of 6-4.

With the triumph, Washington County improves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Golden Hawks travel to Bleckley County (Cochran, GA) to face the Royals in a 1A D-I Region 2 contest on Thursday, August 21. The Royals enter the bout with a record of 3-1. Bleckley County won 18-0 in their recent league bout against Southwest (Macon, GA)

In their next game, the Razorbacks clash with the Swainsboro Tigers (Swainsboro, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, August 21. Cross Creek will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 4-1 league win over Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA).
