In Wednesday's league match, the Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN) volleyball squad overcame the host Pike Central Chargers (Petersburg, IN), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Hatchets battle the North Knox Warriors (Bicknell, IN) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 21. Washington will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Dugger Union (Dugger, IN).
