The Rocky River Pirates got by the host Strongsville Mustangs volleyball team by a count of 2-1 in Monday's non-league game.
The Pirates now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buckeye for a non-league game on Thursday, August 24.
The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Revere (Richfield, OH). The Minutemen enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Revere was nudged by Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin (Chardon, OH), 2-0, in a non-league game.
