Georgia High School Softball - Heritage holds off Monroe Area

The Heritage Patriots (Conyers, GA) softball the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 4-2 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Patriots (6-1) will now prepare for their bout against Clarke Central (Athens, GA). The Gladiators go into the 5A Region 8 bout with a 7-1 record. In their last bout, Clarke Central held off Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA), 16-1, in a non-league bout.

The Purple Hurricanes now possess a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Bethlehem Christian Academy for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. Monroe Area will confront a Knights squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Seckinger (Buford, GA). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
