The Smithville Seminoles topped the visiting Mooreville Troopers volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Monday's non-league test.

The Seminoles now have a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hamilton for a Class 1 Region 4 test on Thursday, August 24. Smithville will confront a Lions team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to East Webster (Maben, MS). The Lions record now stands at 2-3.

The Troopers (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Amory (Amory, MS). The Panthers enter the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Amory was knocked off by Saltillo (Saltillo, MS), 3-1, in a non-league test.
