Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA), 33-21 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mt. Carmel improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Sundevils travel to San Marcos (San Marcos, CA) to play the Knights in a battle on Thursday, October 10. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 1-0.

The Mustangs now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Point Loma for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. Otay Ranch will play a Pointers team coming off a 14-7 non-league win over Del Norte (San Diego, CA). The Pointers record now stands at 1-0.
