In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Concord Spiders soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Sun Valley Spartans.

The Spiders (4-0) will now prepare for their outing against West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Falcons enter the South Piedmont 3A outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, West Rowan was edged by North Davidson (Lexington, NC), 2-1, in a non-league match.

The Spartans now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mooresville for a non-league match on Thursday, August 22. Sun Valley will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-2.
