In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC) soccer team routed the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), by a count of 9-0.

Next, the Mountaineers face the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 26. Tuscola will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Patriots enter the contest with a 4-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Chase (Forest City, NC).

The Maroon Devils (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Mitchell was overwhelmed by Erwin (Asheville, NC), 9-0, in a non-league contest.
