In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Lamar Raiders football team scored a nice 35-14 win over the South Choctaw Academy Rebels.
With the win, Lamar improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Raiders host Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS) to meet the Jaguars in a non-league test on Friday, August 29. The Jaguars come into the test with a record of 0-0.
With the defeat, South Choctaw Academy drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Rebels host Banks Academy (Birmingham, AL) to play the Jets in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 29. The Jets go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Banks Academy lost 19-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Flint River Academy (Woodbury, GA)
