Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team smash the host Olympic Trojans (Charlotte, NC), 42-6 in a non-league match.

The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, East Mecklenburg was ripped by Hopewell (Huntersville, NC), 22-0, in a non-league battle.

The Trojans now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Palisades for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 28. Olympic will meet a Pumas squad coming off a 56-0 non-league loss to Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 0-1.
