The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Valley Christian Defenders (Cerritos, CA) and the host Gahr Gladiators (Cerritos, CA), witnessed Valley Christian's football squad knock off Gahr by a tally of 26-12.

The Defenders (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Aquinas (San Bernardino, CA). The Falcons go into the bout with a 1-0 record.

The Gladiators now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Western Christian for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 4.
