The Rockingham County Cougars football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Southwest Guilford Cowboys to 0 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Cougars now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Western Alamance for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 4.
The Cowboys (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Western Alamance (Elon, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Western Alamance lost by Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 7-0, in a non-league challenge.
