With the triumph, Walton-Verona advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Simon Kenton (Independence, KY) to clash with the Pioneers in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. The Pioneers come into the test with a record of 2-1.

The Rebels now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Simon Kenton for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 26. Boone County will clash with a Pioneers team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Conner (Hebron, KY). The Pioneers record now stands at 2-1.
