Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Fremont Eagles (Fremont, IN) and the visiting Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves (Fort Wayne, IN), observed Fremont's volleyball team hold off Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian by a count of 2-1.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against South Bend Saint Joseph (South Bend, IN). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record.

The Braves now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Norwell for a non-league battle on Monday, August 25. Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Heritage (Monroeville, IN). The Knights record now stands at 3-0.
