In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Oxford Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils.
The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lapeer East (Lapeer, MI). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
Next, the Blue Devils play the Farmington Falcons (Farmington, MI) in a test, on Tuesday, August 26. Grosse Pointe South will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record.
