With the win, Mayfield improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Cubs host Westridge (Pasadena, CA) to encounter the Tigers in a battle on Tuesday, September 9. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 2-0.

The Spartans now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Flintridge Sacred Heart for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 26.
