In Thursday's league outing, the host South Charleston Black Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Cabell Midland Knights.

The Black Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV). The Big Reds come into the Mountain State test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Parkersburg was tipped by Capital (Charleston, WV), 1-0, in a league test.

The Knights now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Princeton for a non-league test on Saturday, August 23.
