In Thursday's league outing, the host Prior Lake Lakers soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Chaska Hawks.

The Lakers (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Edina (Edina, MN). The Hornets go into the Class AA Section 2 outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Edina edged Rosemount (Rosemount, MN), 1-0, in a non-league test.

The Hawks now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Minneapolis Southwest for a non-league test on Saturday, August 23.
