The St. Joseph Central Irish soccer squad scored 6 points and held the visiting Herbert Hoover Huskies to 0 in the Irish non-league victory on Thursday.

The Irish now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lewis County for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 23.

With the loss, Herbert Hoover moves to 0-1 on the year. The Huskies host Ripley (Ripley, WV) to face the Vikings in a Cardinal contest on Tuesday, August 26.
