In Thursday's non-league outing, the Purcell Dragons (Purcell, OK) softball team nipped the host Alva Goldbugs (Alva, OK), by a margin of 4-3.
The Dragons now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cache for a non-league outing on Friday, August 22. Purcell will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Duncan (Duncan, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-2.
