Georgia High School Softball - Charlton County bounces Echols County

The Charlton County Indians softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Echols County Wildcats to 2 in the Indians league win on Monday.
The Indians now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brooks County for a 1A D-II Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, August 26. Charlton County will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 12-10 league win over Atkinson County (Pearson, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-4.
The Wildcats (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA). The Indians go into the 1A D-II Region 2 test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Irwin County beat Valdosta (Valdosta, GA), 10-1, in a non-league outing.
