Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) and the host Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX), observed Aledo's volleyball team top Burleson by a count of 2-0.

With the win, Aledo improves its record to 10-1 on the season. The Bearcats travel to El Dorado (El Paso, TX) to encounter the Aztecs in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 21. The Aztecs go into the battle with a record of 1-1. El Dorado lost 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Franklin (El Paso, TX)

The Elks now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forney for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 21. Burleson will encounter a Jackrabbits squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Lake Ridge (Mansfield, TX). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 5-6.
