In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Alexandria Valley Cubs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Pleasant Valley Raiders.
The Valley Cubs (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Westbrook Christian (Rainbow City, AL). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Westbrook Christian lost by Ashville (Ashville, AL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Raiders play the Sand Rock Wildcats (Leesburg, AL) in a 2A Area 13 game, on Tuesday, August 26. Pleasant Valley will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record.
