The Ponder Lions topped the visiting Alvarado Indians volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league game.

Next up, the Lions confront the Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, August 26. Ponder will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record. The Owls go into the game with a 9-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Brennan (San Antonio, TX).

With the loss, Alvarado drops to 5-7 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Rio Vista (Rio Vista, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league outing on Friday, August 22.
