Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Lexington Catholic Knights (Lexington, KY) and the host Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY), observed Lexington Catholic's volleyball team top Bourbon County by a tally of 3-0.

The Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin County (Frankfort, KY). The Flyers enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Franklin County was beaten by Scott County (Georgetown, KY), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Colonels meet the Pendleton County Wildcats (Falmouth, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 23. Bourbon County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the test with a 1-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Augusta (Augusta, KY).
