In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Heard County Braves volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Cass Colonels.

The Braves (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Alexander (Douglasville, GA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Alexander was nudged by Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Colonels play the McDonough Warhawks (McDonough, GA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, August 23. Cass will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Warhawks go into the game with a 4-7 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Mount Vernon (Atlanta, GA).
