The Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) volleyball knocked off the visiting Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA), 2-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Bears now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to McDonough for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 28.

With the loss, Chestatee drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The War eagles host Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA) to battle the Tigers in a 3A Area 6 match on Tuesday, August 26. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 8-9. Dawson County lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Wesleyan (Norcross, GA)
