In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Goliad Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the East Central Hornets.
The Tigers (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Medina Valley (Castroville, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Medina Valley beat Southwest (San Antonio, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Hornets meet the Comfort Bobcats/Deer (Comfort, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 21. East Central will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Bobcats/Deer enter the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Bandera (Bandera, TX).
