Industrial Cobras (Vanderbilt, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cobras (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Seguin (Seguin, TX). The Matadors come into the non-league challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Seguin gained a win over Sam Houston (San Antonio, TX), 3-0, in a league test.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rudder for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. Elgin will play a Rangers team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Belton (Belton, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 6-5.
