Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Larue County Hawks (Hodgenville, KY) and the visiting Nelson County Cardinals (Bardstown, KY), observed Larue County's volleyball team top Nelson County by a count of 3-0.

The Hawks (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Green County (Greensburg, KY). The Dragons enter the District 18 battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Green County achieved victory over Cumberland (Cumberland, KY), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Cardinals now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marion County for a non-league battle on Monday, August 25. Nelson County will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Thomas Nelson (Bardstown, KY). The Knights record now stands at 3-0.
