In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Newbury Park Panthers volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Ventura Cougars.
The Panthers (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Justin Garza (Fresno, CA). The Guardians enter the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Justin Garza was beaten by Clovis West (Fresno, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cougars meet the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves (El Segundo, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 23. Ventura will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Wolves enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Waimea (Waimea, HI).
