The Northwest Texans (Justin, TX) volleyball held off the visiting Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Texans now possess a 11-2 record. They play next when they host Boswell for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 21. Northwest will clash with a Pioneers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Chisholm Trail (Fort Worth, TX). The Pioneers record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Vandegrift falls to 8-5 on the year. The Vipers travel to Walnut Grove (Prosper, TX) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league match on Thursday, August 21. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 5-3. Walnut Grove lost 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Wakeland (Frisco, TX)
