Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Notre Dame Academy Regal Gryphons (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Notre Dame (SO) Knights (Sherman Oaks, CA), observed Notre Dame Academy's volleyball team top Notre Dame (SO) by a count of 3-1.

The Regal Gryphons (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Culver City (Culver City, CA). The Centaurs go into the non-league battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Culver City dropped by Louisville (Woodland Hills, CA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Knights now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oaks Christian for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 26. Notre Dame (SO) will encounter a Lions team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over San Marcos (Santa Barbara, CA). The Lions record now stands at 4-0.
