North Carolina High School Volleyball - Pinecrest can't hold off Union Pines

The Union Pines Vikings held off the host Pinecrest Patriots volleyball team by a margin of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to West Johnston for a Carolina Pines 6A bout on Tuesday, August 26.

The Patriots (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Rams enter the non-league match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Purnell Swett was tipped by Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
