The Bears (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Como-Pickton (Como, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Como-Pickton tipped Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, TX), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Bulldogs now own a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Leonard for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 21. Quitman will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Miller Grove (Cumby, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.
