The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) and the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), saw St. Stephens's volleyball squad beat Alexander Central by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, St. Stephens upgrades its record to 2-2 on the year. The Indians host Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 25. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-1.
The Cougars now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Draughn for a non-league bout on Monday, August 29. Alexander Central will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.
